Subaru WRX STI Gets More Power And Lower Price For Late 2012

There’s good news for those of you who like fast saloons (and hatchbacks) with accessible performance. Subaru is not only lowering the price of their superb WRX STI but the power of this former rally monster has been boosted.

The standard car is available for only £26,995 on the road, whilst the uprated version costs a mere £1,599 more for 340R. This variant boasts 340 ps and 490 Nm of torque – substantial increases of 40 ps and 83 Nm over the standard WRX STI. These figures mean that the 340R one of the fastest point-to-point cars on the road. 0-62 takes only 4.7 seconds, making this Japanese monster as quick as a standard Porsche 911.
